Investing in Our Workforce – Apprenticeships and Qualifications at Salis Care
At Salis Care, we know that delivering high-quality supported living depends on having a confident and skilled workforce. That is why training and development is not a “nice to have” – it is essential to achieving safe, consistent, person-centred care.
This month has been a busy and positive one for staff development. We have started working with our new apprenticeship provider and are pleased to confirm that a number of colleagues have now been enrolled onto funded qualifications, including Level 2, Level 3, and Level 5 programmes.
The response from our team has been extremely positive. It is encouraging to see so many staff keen to develop their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and progress in their careers within the care sector. We are also in the process of setting up Learning Agreements to ensure each learner has a clear structure, support, and expectations throughout their qualification.
Investing in staff development benefits everyone:
- Staff build confidence, competence, and progression opportunities
- Tenants receive stronger, more consistent support delivered by well-trained teams
- Services become more resilient, stable, and quality-led
Supported living is about empowering people to live independently with the right support in place. High standards rely on staff understanding best practice across safeguarding, communication, record-keeping, risk management, and person-centred outcomes. Structured learning and qualifications strengthen all of these areas.
We are proud of the commitment our team has shown and look forward to supporting colleagues throughout their development journey across 2026.
