Bringing The Wirral’s Care-Experienced Young People Home
Hear from Danielle, Salis Care’s Registered Manager for the North:
“I’m Danielle, and I’m excited to introduce Salis Care.
Having recently relocated from Essex to the Wirral, I’m launching a specialist step-down hub in Oxton for care-experienced young adults aged 18–25 with learning disabilities and complex developmental trauma.
My focus is to provide more than just accommodation. Salis Care offers a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment designed to support young people as they move towards greater independence, with high-intensity 1:2 support tailored to individual needs.
This service has been created to help young people reconnect with their home boroughs wherever possible, strengthening local links, relationships, and community support networks that are so often disrupted by out-of-area placements.
We are currently in the process of completing CIC registration and CQC registration, while preparing the Oxton property to become a safe, supportive, and nurturing home.
I’m also keen to connect with commissioning teams, leaving care services, local charities, and professionals who share a passion for trauma-informed practice and improving outcomes for young people.
Salis Care is built on collaboration, consistency, and a commitment to helping young people build stable, independent futures.”
