About us
Established in 2020, Salis Care’s name is derived from the Latin name for Salt (salis). Salt is a necessity of life and is a mineral that has been used since ancient times in many cultures not just for seasoning, but as a preservative, a disinfectant, a component of ceremonial offerings and even as a unit of exchange.
For us salt carries the intimation of being ‘salt of the Earth’ – conveying a homespun connotation of basic fundamental goodness and efficiency. Our message is straightforward – Salis Care is not just essential care, but reliable and trustworthy.
With an average of 20 years experience in the health and social care industry, our management, specialist and support teams are highly motivated individuals who pride themselves in quality high standard care and compassionate support.
We not only train our new team members, but believe in the continuous training of our team as a whole to remain current in the care industry and to provide the best possible care with sustainable outcomes.
We believe that proper support can change lives. Support is not just in the giving, but also in how it is received.
Communication and choice are the pillars to our success of how we operate. Every individual has the right to choice and we believe that the people we support have the right to choose a life that will help them achieve their aspirations.
We provide a bespoke plan that reflects their individual daily needs. These plans are created in a consultation with the individual to be tailor-made with their best interest and eventual growth in mind.
By taking a person-centred approach to care we ensure that we respect their autonomy, unique needs, and that our teams work with the individual to achieve happy and independent lives.
